Day 01:   Arrive Cochin

Arrive at Cochin. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative, after a traditional ‘Swagat’ our representative would assist you and introduce the tour and hand over the documents to you.
You will receive and transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel and free for leisure.

Day 02:   Cochin (Kochi) sightseeing

After breakfast, you are free for take a tour of the satellite towns of Kochi (Cochin) and Ernakulam comprises visits to the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue - (which remains closed on Saturdays) St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline, at the Harbour's mouth, one can also view the unique and still-in-use "Chinese Fishing Nets" which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th Century.
Also visit the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and Portuguese buildings. Some parts of this nearly 500-year-old Fort are still amazingly well preserved.
Evening Enjoy Kathakkali Dance Show - Kathakkali is the ancient classical dance from of Kerala which is a grand mix of dramatics, vocal and instrumental music, dancing and mine.

Day 03:   Cochin / Munnar by surface (140 km / 3 hrs)

After breakfast, you will drive to Munnar. Arrive at Munnar, transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel and free for leisure.
Munnar is one of the popular hill station in India, Munnar are its remarkable ambiance, lush green tea gardens, mesmerizing lakes, dense forests and a cool salubrious climate. Munnar is located at the confluence of three mountain streams, Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Munnar are the Nilgiri Tahrs (Mountain Goats), Langurs and Elephants. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here, is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue every twelve years.

Day 04:   Munnar sightseeing

After breakfast, you will visit: - Mattupetty Dam The beautiful hill station of Mattupetty is a 13 km drive away from Munnar. The Mattupetty Lake and Dam is enroute to Top Station and is situated at an altitude of 1700 m. You will often see people enjoying a lazy picnic here. Visitors love the panoramic view of the dam surrounded by wooden hills and tea plantations.
Lock Heart Gap
(13 km from Munnar) This is an ideal place for adventure tourism and trekking. The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view make it worth a visit.
Photo Point
Photo Point is a good place to take snaps in the tea garden. Situated at a height of 1700 Mts, Mattupetty is famous for its highly specialised dairy farm, the Indo-swiss live stock project. Echo Point is another attraction where you can enjoy the natural echo phenomenon.
Shooting Point
Shooting Point is the place where many south Indian movies have been shorted. Kundale Lake is very beautiful and excellent for boating.

Day 05:   Munnar/ Thekkaddy by surface (90 km / 02 hrs)

After breakfast, you will drive to Thekkaddy. Arrive at Thekkaddy, transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel and free for leisure. In afternoon visit to sanctuary with boat cruise:- One and Half boat trips on the lake are the usual way of touring the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in the Thekkady district of Tamil Nadu bordering with Kerala, Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary is one of the most important and frequently visited in India. You can even set upon a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat. Like the eccentric bathing habits of the wild elephants that come down to the lake.
In evening, you are free for your own activities.

Day 06:   Thekkaddy (Periyar Jungle Activities)

After early breakfast, take Nature Walk : Different nature trails traversing diverse habitats form the trekking routes, generally 4 to 5 km. in length. This is an interpretive programme offering excellent opportunity to watch birds, butterflies and other wildlife. The trails often pass through evergreen and moist deciduous forests interspersed with marshy grasslands. The Nature walk is the right programme to feel nature, hear her whispers and smell her flowers. A two and half hour trekking programme that starts from the Famous Periyar Lake which covers the moist deciduous forest and grass lands accompanied by a tribal guide.
Here you can also do in afternoon the elephant ride through the jungle, organized by the Forest Department, is an unforgettable experience. Not only is it a great option to observe the wildlife, it is also guaranteed to be a fun experience. As you make your way through the jungle on top of a tusker, you will, most likely, feel like one of the kings of yore out to survey his hunting ground.
Also can do Bamboo Rafting: This is a dawn to dusk range hiking and rafting programme through some of the richest forest tracts of Periyar Tiger Reserve. The forests are rich in bird life and arboreal animals like giant squirrel and Nilgiri langur. The rafting is for about three hours and one gets a panoramic view of forest-clad hills reflected on the lake. Animals like elephant, gaur and sambar are sighted keeping close to the edges of the lake. The team hitchhikes back to the boat landing by the time.

Day 07:   Thekkaddy / Alleppey Houseboat by surface (135 Kms / 03:30 hrs)

After breakfast, you will depart for Alleppey by surface, on arrival check in at house boat. House boat jetty to board house boat (Kettuvallom) on the World famous Backwaters of Kerala. Boat cruise on the backwaters gives an opportunity to behold the great charm of this city that nature has endowed upon it. You get pretty and intimate vignettes of local life and people living in these backwaters

Day 08:   Alleppey / Kumarakom by Houseboat (25 Kms)

After breakfast, Check out from houseboat and transfer to Kumarakom backwater resort. Check into the room and free for leisure.
Kumarakom It is a cluster of little islands, on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala, the 'Wonder Land' believed to have been lying below the sea level, sprang out into the marshes when the sea receded later. After Relaxation we will Visit “The Kumarakom Bird sanctuary”: Located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, the bird sanctuary is spread across 14 acres. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, an ornithologist's paradise is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. You can get thrilled of the native kingfishers ablaze in psychedelic colours, experience a walk under rookeries of egrets and night herons or lone golden-backed woodpeckers and even delight in the acrobatics of the paradise fly-catchers.

Day 09:   Kumarakom (Excursion Tour of Kottayam)

After breakfast, today you will take an excursion tour of Kottayam. Kottayam is famous in the world for its exotic backwaters, scenic landscape, bird sanctuaries, temples and churches that leave the last long impression in the mind of tourists. It is because of its natural beauty, the city of Kottayam is also known as the land of letters because of the highest literacy in India, land of lakes and latex which is laying below the sea level. The Cheria Pally, an ancient Church belonging to the Malankara Orthodox Church is a well preserved church with wall murals dating back to ancient times.
Vennimala - The hill of victory
Vennimala, a stone's throw away from the bustling Kottayam Town is the serene and beautiful hill top destination, Vennimala is located nearly 15 km from the Kottayam town and can be assessed easily through the Kottayam- Kumili road.
Matrumala
Matrumala is located in Kooropada village and is about 8 km from Vennimala. The place can be accessed from Kottayam through Pampadi. Matrumala is a hill top that offers stunning views of the entire surroundings.

Day 10:   Kumarakom / Cochin (60 km) / Back to your home destination

Breakfast at the Hotel
Check out from hotel and drive to Cochin.
Arrive at Cochin, at appropriate time transfer to airport for your flight back with sweet and unforgettable memories. (No accommodation envisaged on this day)
